File Locker Normal Setup

Note: this video shows the creation of a link locker in normal mode, which is very similar to creating file locker in normal mode.

Why We Recommend Normal Setup for Creating a File Locker

At ContentLocking.com we know that you want to run all of your promotions on professionally designed pages that are high quality. However, we also recognize that not everyone is a professional web designer and hiring someone or purchasing a design can be very expensive. That’s why the team at ContentLocking.com dedicated themselves to finding a solution. We wanted to find a tool powerful enough to build professional quality web pages but easy enough to use for even the most inexperienced users. After a lot of hard work, we came up with the “Builder Tool”

Creating a File Locker Using Normal Setup

From the menu bar on the far left hand side of your screen, you will need to select “LOCKERS”, from there you will choose “File Lockers” then you will select “create”. Once you do this, you will be given a menu with three different options for creation. You will need to select the “normal” option.

Now that you have selected the normal option, you will come to a page where need to fill in some basic information on your link locker as you would in any other mode. You will complete the required fields then, in order to start building your page, you will want to navigate to the tab at the top portion of the form you just filled in and select “Design”.

On the design page, you can view our introduction video which demonstrates some of the capabilities of the builder tool. When you’re ready, you will want to click on the button that says “Get Started”.

You will now be on a page where you are required to login. If you do not already have an account, simply create one. Once you’ve done so, you’ll be able to login to our builder tool.

Using the Landing Page Builder

The first thing you’ll want to do with the builder tool is create a new project and name it. From there, you’ll see multiple templates that you can use. Simply select the one that you would like to customize. Once you’ve done that you will be within the design page. On this page you can change all sorts of elements from the text on the page to the colors, placement of items, font sizes and everything else you need in order to fully customize the page. For the most part its as easy as clicking and choosing what you would like. We highly recommend viewing our videos for more details as this is a very visual process.

Once you have the page looking exactly the way you want to, you will need to save it. After saving it, you will need to find your HTML code. This can be found at the bottom of the page where you will see a tab that says HTML. Once you click on it, the HTML code and CSS code will pop up. You need to copy each one entirely. Be sure not to miss any lines of code or that may impact the overall page dramatically. Once you copy the code, you need to go back to your page on ContentLocking.com and past it in the appropriate section. This means that HTML code must be pasted in the HTML box and CSS code must be pasted into the CSS box. Be sure to double check that you’ve allocated the pasted code properly as this is critical.

Save Your File Locker

Once you’re done, you can click on “Create and preview” to take a look at your new page. If you want to see more you can also select “manage” to make additional changes or to view / change your page in the future. Of course, the final touches for completing your page include selecting whether or not you’re running adult traffic and an acceptance of our terms of service. There you have it, if you’ve followed these instructions you should now have a high quality landing page designed and hosted for free by ContentLocking.com
